At Maryland Vein Professionals we care not only for our practice of over 4000 patients, but we are also proud to be active supporters of many worthy charities and causes in our community. Over the past three years MVP has been proud to donate over $50,000 to a variety of worthy organizations. Maryland Vein Professionals is a proud supporter of the Special Olympics. Special Olympics is a global nonprofit organization targeting the nearly 200 million people round the world who have intellectual disabilities. With a presence in nearly 200 countries worldwide and seven world-region offices, they are constantly expanding.
Maryland Vein Professionals also supports the Elkridge Youth Organization. This organization teaches young sports players that baseball is more than winning and losing, it is a team effort. It also teaches them to accept responsibility and to work hard to achieve goals.
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is: "Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke." The association's impact goal is to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke and risk by 25 percent by 2010. Progress toward the goal will be measured according to these indicators:
Maryland Vein Professionals donated to the American Heart Association in 2009, attending the Heart Ball which raised $ for the organization.
From its inception in 1979, NAMI has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.Maryland Vein Professionals was priveledged to be a sponsor of the NAMI Walk in 2008 which raised money for the organization.
