Maureen Demar, R.N.

Maureen Demar has practiced nursing for the past 18 years and is currently working at both MVP and the National Institutes of Health Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She has been practicing nursing for 18 years. A recipient of The Maryland Nursing Scholarship, Maureen graduated from Salisbury State University with honors in 1991 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Maureen was selected for the prestigious Neuroscience Internship Program at The National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. Maureen currently also works part time in the NIH Hospital Telemetry unit with patients with Sickle Cell, Cancer, and Cardiac Disease. I am certified in Chemotherapy and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Maureen has over ten years experience prior to this appointment working in Neuroscience, Medical and Surgical Intensive Care units.

Maureen joined Maryland Vein Professionals in 2007 as a Sclerotherapist after herself being a patient. She explains, "I actually was relieved of my pain and achy legs that I had well over 10 years. I'm thrilled to be out of pain and now being a Sclerotherapist, I can too help others achieve the same success that I had.


Tracey Denes, R.N.

Tracey Denes has been a Registered Nurse for the past 17 years at The University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. For over ten years, her primary area of interest has been taking care of Cardiac Surgery patients. It is in this capacity that Tracey met and worked with Dr. Calure in 2000 caring for patients recovering from open heart surgery and heart and lung transplants. Tracey currently works in the Medical Cardiac Care Unit treating the most critically ill patients after heart attack, angioplasty, and congestive heart failure.

Tracey joined Maryland Vein Professionals as a Sclerotherapist in 2008 after undergoing bilateral venous closure by Dr. Calure. She explains, "I was impressed with the caring staff and the patient-centered nature of his practice and I am happy to be part of a team focused on helping patients achieve relief from the symptoms of venous insufficiency."

Tracey is a lifelong resident of Annapolis and currently resides in Severna Park with her two beautiful teenage daughters.


Kristin Mette, R.N., BSN

Kristin is a native of Annapolis, MD. She graduated from Radford University in 1998 with a BS in Nursing. Kristin has worked for Anne Arundel Medical Center since 1998 on the med-surg floor. She has been at the Center for Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery for the past 12 years. Kristin is a busy wife and mother of three and she loves being a nurse.


Susan Wood, R.N.

Susan Wood has been a Registered nurse since 1987 and has held a Board Certification in Pediatric Nursing since 1992. Her 22 years of hospital experience includes Maternal Child Health, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Adolescent Medicine and Neonatal Intensive Care. She joined MVP as a Sclerotherapist in 2008.


Angela Galoppo, R.N.

Angela Galoppo earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Anne Arundel Community College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her nursing experience includes working on the General Surgical Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. Angela also has a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to becoming a nurse, Angela worked her way to Assistant Vice President in Operations for a prominent financial firm based in Baltimore, Maryland.


Kim Johnson, RN, BSN

Kim obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, but always wanted to be a Registered Nurse. After working in the business world and staying home to raise her children, she obtained a BSN from George Mason University in 2011. She has worked in the Progressive Care Unit at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA and is currently employed at Winchester Medical Center. Winchester, VA in the Surgical Telemetry Unit Her experience is in cardiac and vascular patients. In addition, she has been a patient of Maryland Vein Professionals for 10 years, and has experienced firsthand the improvement in symptoms from venous insufficiency through the closure procedure and sclerotherapy.


Mary Beth Daniels, R.N., BSN

Mary Beth graduated from University of Maryland at Baltimore with a BS in Nursing. She worked in a hospital for 19 years in Med/Surg and Critical Care. Mary Beth is married with three children. She joined Maryland Vein Professionals in 2014.
